Ravichandran Ashwin is an Indian International Cricketer, born in Madras, Tamilnadu India. He is all-rounder, right handed batsman and right arm bowler. Ravichandran Ashwin plays for Tamilnadu based domestic cricket team also has a captainship of Kings XI Punjab in IPL (Indian Premier League). In this section of his career journey  we will go thru 2000 and 2010

Ashwin started his career playing for Tamilnadu Cricket team and South Zone as an all-rounder. He also played for India under 17 and replace by Rohit Sharma due to bad form. Ravichandran Ashwin was picked by Chennai Super Kings in IPL and he took highest wickets in Champions league Twenty-20 in 2010. In Initial days of his cricket career he was playing a fast bowler later he changed it to spin bowler.

Career Journey between 2010 to present

Back in 2010 his awesome performance in IPL he was selected fin a second string squad for Zimbabwe. Ravichandran Ashwin played debut ODI against Sri Lanka in June 2010 and scored 32- ball 38 and took 2/50. He played T20I debut against Zimbabwe where he lead Indian team to win, he took 1/22 in four overs. Ashwin was selected for New Zealand and Sri Lanka but did not get chance to perform. He proved himself the most economical bowler in a match played Home ODI series against Australia. Ashwin also played in home series again New Zealand in November 2010. In this series he took 11 wickets at an average of 21.90.

Ravichandran Ashwin managed himself in 15 member crew for World cup. He played only two matches and could not get more matches because of Harbhajan singa and Piyush Chawal (Spinners). Alter Ravichandran Ashwin replace Vice-captain Harbhajan Singh. Ashwin was picked up for ODI tours of West Indeis and England tour. Ravichandran Ashwin was the highest wicket taker in those series.

After the England tour Ashwin emerged India’s fastest and best bowler. He earned a cap from Sachin Tendulkar on his test debut in Delhi. Ravichandran Ashwin also seen in in Subsequent Triangular CB series against Australia and Sri Lanka. Ashwin was awarded man of the series in home series against New Zealand. He also played four matches in ICC World Twenty 20 in 2012 held in Sri Lanka.

Ashwin played ICC Champions Trophy in 2013 in England. He went to Bangladesh for Asia Cup in 2014 and ICC World Twenty 20. He was also part of Indian team for England tour. Ashwin played three match series against Sri Lanka in 2015. Ravichandran Ashwin was star performer in Freedom Trophy in November 2015. In India’s tour to New Zealand he took 27 wickets in total three test matches.

In December 2014 he received ICC Cricketer of the year by International Cricket Council. He was the third Indian who received Sir Garfield Sobers Trophy in 2016. Sachin Tendulkar and Rahul Dravid were the two Indian who received this award before Ravichandran Ashwin.

Ashwin became a part of IPL (Indian Premier League) in 2009 with Chennai super Kings. Ashwin was banned for two season of IPL in 2016 and 2017. Ravichandran Ashwin sold himself to Kings XI Punjab in IPL 2018 for 7.6 Crores rupees. Later he was promoted to captain of Kings XI Punjab. 

Ravichandran Ashwin approached by Tamilnadu State Election commission to create electoral awareness. He educated people to check their name on voter list and receive voter id to vote for better India.
